New House, New Neighborhood

August 2nd, 2010

Here at last, pictures of the new house! We can’t wait to get our keys (August 15th) and start moving in. It’s been more than a year since we had our OWN house (we’ve been in furnished places for the last year, with everything in storage (thank you sisters’ garages!).

The apartment is the bottom floor of an old San Francisco house, on a quiet street, with a big wooden balcony that has views of Twin Peaks, and wooden floors throughout. Lots of natural light, space, and only two blocks from the main street in the Noe Valley neighborhood. And there is a shared garden in the back, with a brick path, redwood trees, and a tranquil bench.

After a year of living on the road, in comfortable and furnished, yet temporary places, we can’t wait to have our own home again. Our own furniture, books, photos. There’s also a guest bedroom, so please come visit us!

Transitions

August 6th, 2009

We moved out of our loft last Friday. We will miss it a lot. The good food nearby, being 1 mile from our friends, easy proximity to BART. Our walks to Mission-Dolores Park. The hustle and bustle of returning home to such a lively neighborhood. Being so close to downtown. I lived in this place longer than any other place since I left home 10 years ago.

This week and next we are staying with friends in the Haight. Here is Juanjo on our way downtown a couple days ago. When we come back we’re not sure where we will live. If only it were this warm and sunny all the time, I would be much more inclined to want to stay in San Francisco!

Fin de Semana en Napa Valley

July 6th, 2009

Aqui fotos del fin de semana. El tiempo maravilloso. Todo el dia con la capota bajada. Comiendo bien.
